Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour Tour
On this very popular 2 hour tour, I will introduce you to the ‘Murder Capital of England, a place where grisly crimes were often solved over a pint of real ale.’
The city of Oxford has been one of the main settings for all three of these internationally famous television series over the last 38 years. On this tour we will visit many of the locations used during filming, a good number of which you will recognise from your favourite episodes.
We will see Morse’s old college and many of his favourite pubs where he liked to drink and think. We get to have a better understanding of why Morse is the way he is.
We learn about the clever links that connect the three series and how genius the writers were to create them. We will talk about the man who dreamt up Morse, Colin Dexter and about the hugely talented actors who played the main roles such as John Thaw, Kevin Whately and Shaun Evans.
Along the way we will see many of Oxford’s highlights including the Radcliffe Camera, the Bridge of Sighs, the Bodleian Library and the Sheldonian Theatre to name but a few.
An inside visit to one of the colleges used in the filming can be added (subject to availability).

19 – Limit set by the colleges as the maximum number of people that may enter the college at one time.
Wireless tour guide system available for up to 19 people.
Larger groups can also be accommodated as I can book additional qualified guides.
Minimum age for this tour is 11 years.
Entrance Fees
Should you wish to add an inside visit (subject to availability)
£3 – £10 per person for college entrance fee, depending on college visited.
£2.50 per person, for inside visit of the Divinity School, the oldest room of the Bodleian Library.
£4 per person for inside visit of the Sheldonian Theatre where student Graduation Ceremonies take place.
College visit
Will depend on which college is open on the day.
